Final year Project
Trippy is an experimental film focuses on the narrator as they provide a spoken word piece that details the three significant events that lead to their loss of touch with reality.
Trippy was shown at Quiet Pride, an event in York, England along with being showcased at Aesthetica Film Festival 2023. it also won Best Documentary at the End of Year awards as presented by Mpho Dintwa. I was also awarded a Prize at my graduation for achieving the highest mark for a Final Project on my course.
current work
The narrator provides the audience with a spoken word piece comprised of three poems.
Each poem represents a chapter in the narrator's life as they experience psychosis- the beginning, the middle, and the end.
The poems detail what it means to have psychosis for the narrator, as not all people experience psychosis In the same way.
This piece will be very individual and personal, as the narrator details traumatic events such as the death of a loved one, a sexual assault, and an emotionally abusive relationship.
